What ParkHelp does

ParkHelp

ParkHelp's sensors detect occupancy across car parks, curbs, loading zones, EV charging bays and accessible spaces, and its software turns that data into guidance for drivers and into enforcement, pricing and planning for the operator. The company acquired Cleverciti in November 2025, and the combined group monitors more than 600,000 parking spaces across more than 700 locations in 50 countries, with its own offices in the United States, Germany, Spain, Brazil, New Zealand and Ecuador.

The secret

Cities have stopped buying broad smart-city platforms and started buying targeted tools that lift the yield on the parking they already own. ParkHelp sells exactly that, and because it makes the sensors as well as the software it owns the data other parking products have to buy.

Why NZVC invested in ParkHelp

ParkHelp: ceiling sensor

We backed ParkHelp because it is the rare New Zealand company doing the acquiring rather than being acquired, and because parking is turning from an afterthought into a revenue line that cities under financial pressure actively manage. Under chief executive Poojitha Preena the company bought Cleverciti outright in November 2025 and now runs it as a subsidiary. Owned hardware, owned data and a customer base across 50 countries together make a position we rarely see at this stage.
